A Telegram and Discord bot that actually does things
Answers from your docs, triages what arrives, files what should be filed — and hands the conversation to a human the moment it stops being routine.
The job to be done
Open-source projects, indie products and community managers running a Telegram or Discord server where the same questions arrive daily.
Community support is the most repetitive work with the least documentation. The answers exist in your docs, but nobody reads docs before asking — and the person answering the twelfth “how do I connect?” of the week is a maintainer whose time should go to the product.
How it works
- 1
A message arrives
Telegram or Discord delivers it to your bot webhook. The run starts with the message, the author and the server — nothing else.
- 2
Intent is classified
The agent decides whether this is a question your docs answer, a bug that should become an issue, or something that needs a person.
- 3
It acts through connectors
Docs are read, issues are created, records are updated — each call constrained to allow-listed hosts and a scoped capability policy.
- 4
Humans take the exceptions
Refunds, moderation calls and anything ambiguous route to a human in the channel. The bot never decides alone where it is not sure.
Works with
Each entry is a connector or channel available on the platform today.
What it costs
What the incumbent charges
Landbot publishes a WhatsApp + website plan from €40/month (€32 yearly) with 500 chats and 100 AI chats included.
Where they are the better choice
A visual flow builder with a published chat quota and a website widget. If your conversation fits a flowchart and you want it drawn, not coded, a builder wins.

Free tier, then $9/month. You pay your model provider directly — we take no markup on tokens.
- No chat quota: conversations are not metered against a plan, the tokens go to your provider.
- It is an agent, not a flowchart: new question types need a prompt change, not a rebuild of the branches.
- It can file issues, update records and call your API — not only reply with text.
Your API keys are encrypted locally with AES-GCM and never travel to our servers.

- A no-code builder gives you a visual editor and a drag-and-drop widget for your site. Ours is configured as data and prompt, which is less visual by design.
- If your flow is fixed and never changes, a flowchart is easier to reason about than an agent that interprets.
What it handles
Grounded answers
Answers come from your documentation and repository, with a link to the source. When the docs do not cover it, the bot says that instead of improvising.
Issues from conversations
A bug report in chat becomes a structured issue with context, instead of a message that scrolls away by Thursday.
Rate limits and quiet hours
The scheduler and rate policy bound how often the bot can fire, so a flood of mentions cannot turn into a flood of model spend.
You own the bot token
The bot runs under your Telegram or Discord application and your model key. Leaving means taking both with you.
Availability: this workflow is assembled from primitives that ship today. You configure the trigger, the agents and the gate; nothing is hidden behind a feature flag.
Frequently asked questions
Does the bot need my Telegram or Discord token?
It runs under your own bot application, so the server and its members stay yours. The token is stored with the same server-side encryption we use for provider keys and is never exposed to the model.
What does it do when it is not sure?
It says it is not sure and hands over. The escalation step is part of the workflow definition, not a best-effort hope: ambiguity routes to a human in the channel.
Can it post in more than one group?
Yes — each group or server points at its own automation run, so one bot can serve several communities with different policies and different knowledge sources.
Is moderation included?
Routine filters and summaries are workflow steps you configure. Bans and other consequential actions go through an approval node — the bot prepares the decision, a human makes it.
